Cabinet for Chemical Technology:

Department of Chemistry

The Cabinet for Chemical Technology at the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Science is equipped with its employees and associates to transfer the necessary knowledge from subjects in this field.

The cabinet developed good cooperation with business entities from the surrounding area, and provided students with practical knowledge in the field of chemical technology.

The teaching staff is constantly working on modernizing the teaching in accordance with the development of all areas of chemical technology; organic, anorganic, and lately it is moving towards the field of industrial biotechnology, that is, the use of biogenic resources.

By listening to classes in the subjects covered by this cabinet, students will be able to:

  • Master the knowledge of the basic laws of chemical technology.
  • Apply knowledge from basic technological processes, specific chemical productions that have the most important economic significance.
  • Apply knowledge from specific chemical production in the development of basic environmental protection techniques.
  • In accordance with the trends of future world economies and technologies, knowledge from the chemical industry, economics and ecology will be integrated.

In the past period, the teaching staff published a number of publications and textbooks, and participated in the creation of professional projects and studies, as well as studies for the economy.
