Katedra za opštu i anorgansku hemiju

Odsjek za hemiju

Katedra za opštu i anorgansku hemiju je jedna od najstarijih katedri na Univerzitetu u Sarajevu. Oformljena je 1950. godine, tada u sastavu Filozofskog fakulteta. Prvi šef Katedre, od 1950. do 1960. godine bio je profesor Dojčin Jakšić (1903 – 1960). Poslije profesora Jakšića, šef Katedre je bila prof. dr. sc. Mira Glavaš (1932 – 2011), a zatim prof. dr. sc. Vladimir Milićević (1933 – 2000), a potom  prof. dr. Emira Kahrović (2000 – 2021). Od 2021. godine Katedrom rukovodi prof. dr. Nevzeta Ljubijankić.

 

U sastav Katedre je ulazila analitička hemija do 1955. godine i Metodika nastave hemije do 2003. godine. Pored osnovne nastave, nastavnici i asistenti Katedre su dugi niz godina držali predavanja i vježbe iz Opšte i anorganske hemije za Farmaceutski fakultet, Fakultet zdravstvenih studija, Mašinski fakultet i Akademiju likovnih umjetnosti.

Nastavnici sa Katedre su do sada ostvarili uspješnu saradnju sa uglednim naučnim institucijama i naučnicima iz zemlje i svijeta. Članovi Katedre se bave istraživanjima u oblasti kompleksnih jedinjenja prelaznih metala, s naglaskom na sintezi novih kompleksnih jedinjenja koji imaju potencijalnu biološku i biomimetičku aktivnost. 

Katedra je opremljena instrumentima za spektroskopska i elektrohemijska istraživanja. Instrumenti se intenzivno koriste za izradu diplomskih, magistarskih i doktorskih radova. Katedra je otvorena za sve uslužne djelatnosti iz oblasti hemije kojma se bave njeni članovi. Iz popisa radova članova Katedre može se vidjeti da je većina radova publikovana u svjetskim referentnim časopisima iz oblasti (bio)anorganske hemije i elektrohemije.
